I listened to this podcast 'The Language Experince Approach with Di Snowball' and found it very inspiring. I really like Di's ideas around scribing for children in the particular context she was talking about (not in, for example, their bookmaking sessions/Writer's Workshops) but as a text for them to read and re-read and for the class to possibly explore. It reminded me of the work of Vivian Gussin-Paley - where educators scribe the children's stories (so rich) and then they choose some children, or ask some children if they would like to take part, to act out the stories. I have done this kind of work and play before with young children and when I was teaching at the Munich International School, with older children, I have scribed children's stories/co-constructed stories with them - on an interactive whiteboard - and we have read them together. I'm a literacy leader in Melbourne. Sharon Callen has been helping us implement a reading culture in our school. 
We spent most of last year in zoom land trying our best to build language and skills in our zoom rooms. I'm really excited to get our classroom libraries up and running this year as well as observing student growth. I'm also looking forward to our growth as we build understanding of the reading process together, to grow competent and independent readers through the workshop model.
