About this teaching resource
Every Student Can Produce Quality Writing: Photo Examples from the Classroom
What does a writing classroom built for every learner actually look like? This resource answers that question with real evidence from real classrooms.
Drawn from Year 6 at Fairview Primary School in Collie, WA, this collection brings together the physical tools, teaching documents, and student writing that make quality writing achievable for all students — including those with dyslexia, ADHD, and other learning needs.
Inside you'll find classroom-ready materials including differentiated sentence stem scaffolds, topic sentence planning guides, and spelling strategy notebooks from individual students. Modelled texts across fantasy, adventure, historical fiction, science fiction, and poetry show the standard a solid plan can achieve.
Student writing samples across multiple units — Bizarre Animals, Australian Ballad, Sci-Fi Narratives, and Cliffhanger stories — demonstrate what becomes possible when structured planning, purposeful word work, and consistent expectations are in place from day one.
Every photo tells the same story: when the conditions are right and expectations never waver, every student can produce writing worth being proud of.
A companion resource to the Teacher's Toolkit for Literacy podcast, 2026 Series, developed with Cue Learning consultants Phil and Sharon Callen.
